Clifton Primary School

Aspire to Achieve

Occupational Therapy

Hello my name is Amy Hart and I work for Ealing Paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) Service based at Ealing Services for Children with Additional Needs (ESCAN) at Carmelita House. I have previous experience working within a Special Needs school populated mainly by students with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder as well as supporting children with additional needs who attend mainstream schools.

I visit Clifton Primary School to support students who have OT on their EHCP. Parents of students who work with me can contact me directly on 02088258768.

For general OT enquiries, you can also ring 02088258768 to speak with our administrator or speak with the school SENDCo - Miss Laura Corrigan.

The Occupational Therapy support provided at Clifton school aims to improve student's functional performance skills in relation to their engagement with learning activities. This may include specific interventions and strategies designed to improve aspects of fine and gross motor skills for the purpose of participating in play and learning activities. We might also support a child to carry out essential self-care tasks such as managing to change for P.E lessons, accessing the toileting facilities and using cutlery to feed themselves at lunchtime.

Parents can refer to the Royal College of Occupational Therapists website for further information regarding Occupational Therapy
