Launching Clifton's School Council

Clifton's School Council!

We are pleased to announce that we have a newly formed school council. Children in Years 3 to 6 carried out a range of campaigning activities in December. The children also wrote speeches and shared them with their peers in class. Within their speeches, the children wrote reasons as to why they should be voted as a school council representative from their class. Following the speeches, voting took place and each class from years 3 to 6 voted for their representative. The child with the most votes was selected as a member of the school council. On Thursday 13th January Miss Dhaliwal and Miss Barum announced the newly formed school council members in assembly. The children were absolutely thrilled to be told that they were part of the school council. Miss Dhaliwal will be meeting the school council on a regular basis to discuss issues that are important to the children at Clifton. Keep an eye out in subsequent newsletters for the all the exciting things that the school council will be involved in.
