Guidance for Learning at Home – Parents/Carers and Pupils

If your child is off school because of Covid-19, it is our duty to ensure they learn from home.

The guidance below will give you information on how you can access home learning for your child, whilst they are not in school.

My child has to self-isolate while we wait for a Covid-19 test or test results for my child or household member and my child is well enough to complete work at home.

You should access the daily lessons from Oak National Academy. Click on the link below and choose the year group of your child. Each day there is an English and Maths Lesson alongside at least one subject lesson. They should also access Numbots and Timestable Rockstars. If you need log in details for this, please contact the school office.

My child has to self-isolate for 14 days as someone in our household or someone they have been in close contact with has tested positive.

As soon as you know your child is unable to come to school due to someone in your household testing positive or being in contact with someone who has tested positive and you’ve been asked to isolate, please access the daily lessons from Oak National Academy. Click on the link below and choose the year group of your child. Each day there is an English and Maths Lesson alongside at least one subject lesson.

A member of staff will call your child once per week to ensure they understand all of the work and to discuss it with them.

My child has tested positive for Covid-19 and is unwell.

If your child has tested positive for Covid-19 they may be unwell and unable to access any work that we provide for them. Please keep in touch with the school to let us know how they are doing and if you feel that they are feeling well enough to do school work, they can either access the access the daily lessons from Oak National Academy. • Download, complete on the screen, save and email back
  • Download, complete by hand on paper, take a photo and email back
