Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE)

Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education. It makes a significant contribution to young people's personal development by helping children and young people to build their personal identities, confidence, self-esteem, recognise feelings, manage their own behaviour, form friendships and understand what influences their decisions. Our aims in teaching PSHE are to provide all children with the knowledge, understanding and skills they will need to make informed, reasoned and responsible choices about their own lifestyles, not only as children but as adults in later life. We actively promote a healthy lifestyle and safe environment in which children enjoy learning and develop the skills needed to become responsible members of their community and in wider society.
